Information on SeaQuation and its services has been included within a recent Butler Group report ‘Measuring IT Costs and Value’. Information on this authoritative and informative report can be found at Butlergroup.

SeaQuation has been pleased to work with the IT Governance Institute in providing elements of its intellectual property in the Institute’s recent publication Maximising the Value Obtained from Investment in IT. This publication, authored by Paul Williams, is one of the first in a series covering the five domains of IT Governance. For information on obtaining this informed and actionable publication visit www.itgi.org

ValIT

The IT Governance Institute has undertaken a significant research project in order to develop a sister set of publications to CobiT designed to extend their thought leadership on the best practices required to support and enhance the delivery of value from IT related investment projects. The outcome from this research will be branded as ValIT and is intended to be published in Q4 2005. The initial deliverables will include the ValIT framework, an initial technique guide on the formulation of business cases and a case study based upon the global financial services group ING. SeaQuation has been pleased to work with the ITGI on the development of this set of products. Our invitation to become involved in this prestigious study reflects well on the high regard that independent, not for profit, thought leaders such as ITGI have for the intellectual property that SeaQuation has developed and is willing to share in the public domain. The SeaQuation team involved in this ‘pro bono’ activity has included John Spangenberg, Paul Williams and Gerrit Koning.

Paul Williams has also written a second publication in the ITGI IT Governance Domains series. This publication, entitled ‘IT Alignment – who is in charge?’ is available as a .pdf download from the ITGI website, http://www.itgi.org

Paul Williams has written an article on Creating Value from IT Investments for ITAdviser magazine, a journal for IT professionals in the UK. The article may be accessed through this link. http://www.nccmembership.co.uk
